Betrayed
March 27, 2024
Then one of the twelve, whose name was Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests 15 and said, “What will you give me if I deliver him over to you?” And they paid him thirty pieces of silver. Matthew 26:14-15 (ESV)
It is not a good feeling when we are betrayed by someone we trusted. When we have helped someone and been there for them through thick and thin and to have them turn around and betray us is the ultimate in hurt. Jesus has been with His disciples teaching them and showing them miracles and blessings. Jesus was there for them when they needed Him, and now one of them plotted to betray Him. The Scripture reminds us, then one of the twelve, whose name was Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and said, “What will you give me if I deliver him over to you?” And they paid him thirty pieces of silver. I encourage you today to remember that Judas was not the only one to betray Jesus. We betray Him when we do not walk in His will and follow His directions for your lives. It had to hurt Jesus to know that Judas would betray Him, but we must come to Jesus and ask for forgiveness and everyday work to never betray Him, but to always lift Him up as our Lord and Savior. Lord, forgive me if I have ever betrayed you, and give me another chance to walk in your will. Since I am forgiven, I know for sure, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”
Prayer:
Lord forgive me if I have ever betrayed you. Help me to walk in the path that you have for my life and to be a witness for you in a dark world. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
