Being Blessed
January 02, 2024
“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers;” Psalm 1:1 (ESV)
It is essential for those of us who are determined to build a closer relationship with God this year, to examine the company we keep. Since we want to be blessed by The Lord, we will need to make sure that we are doing all that we can do, to be all that we can be in The Lord. There are some people that will be an anchor to us if we allow them to be, and there are some places that will not help us get closer to God. The Scripture reminds us, that blessed is the person who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers. I encourage you today to allow God to direct your path. Allow God to open doors for you that will be a blessing to you. You will be blessed this year, but you cannot take advise from those who don’t know God. You will be blessed this year, but you cannot stand and sit with just anybody. God will send people in your life to speak life to you and who will encourage you in the ways of The Lord. I am determined to be better this year than I was last year, and I know that means I must examine my surroundings to ensure that I am where God wants me to be, and I am aligned with who God wants me to be aligned with. Since I will walk in the path that God has for me, I have no doubt, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”
Prayer:
Lord lead and direct me in the path and places that you have designed for me. Align me with those who are for my good and for your glory. Thank you Lord for all the blessings you have already done in my life, and thank you for the blessings you are going to pour into my life. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
