Because He Loves Me

“Behold, blessed is the one whom God reproves; therefore despise not the discipline of the Almighty.” Job 5:17 (ESV)

It can be challenging to correct someone who thinks they are right. We all know someone who thinks they are right all the time. If someone tells them they cannot handle it and will do all they can to try to prove they are correct. We all make mistakes, no one is correct all the time. The smartest person in the world is not always right, the person who has been in Church most of their lives is not always right. The important thing is not always to be right, it is how we react when we are wrong, and someone has to correct us. The Scripture reminds us that, blessed is the one whom God reproves; therefore despise not the discipline of the Almighty. I encourage you today to remember you are not perfect and you will make mistakes, and because God loves you, He will correct you. When God corrects you, it is because He does not want to see you go through the same things repeatedly. Job reminds you, blessed is the person whom God corrects, you should be ecstatic God would take the time to correct you. He only takes this time because He loves you. When God has to correct you do not think God is being too hard on you, He really does love you. If God did not love you, He would not even say anything to you, He would simply allow you to continue to fall deeper and deeper into sin. I thank God He loves me enough to correct me and chasten me, even though I do not like it all the time, I know He has what is best for me on the forefront of his mind. This is why I know for myself, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"

Prayer:

Lord thank you for loving me enough to chastise and correct me. Thank you for always taking the time to ensure I am walking in the path that you have designed for my life. Thank you Lord for your unconditional love towards me. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
