Be Patient
September 24, 2023
"For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise." Hebrews 10:36
Many of us have heard that patience is a virtue, and many of us will admit that we do need to be more patient. While we may admit to needing more patience, we still want things done quick, fast, and in a hurry. Waiting is not something we like to do, and we can get agitated when we have to wait. At times we become impatient with The Lord, and we want Him to hurry up and come and see about us, and do what we want Him to do as soon as we finish praying. However, there are some things that He has asked us to do, and we are procrastinating and have not done what He has asked us to do. We want God to rush and fulfill our request, but we are in no rush many times to fulfill His request of us. The Scripture reminds us that, we are in need of patience, that, after we have done the will of God, we might receive the promise. I encourage you today to be patient and know that God has not forgotten about you. As you are waiting for Him to do what He has promised to do in your life, do not forget to do what He has asked you to do, for after you have done His will, then you will receive the promise. Ask yourself how many of your blessings are waiting on you to do what God has asked you to do? The road may not be easy, but you know that God is with you, and if He has placed it in your hands to get it done, then He has given you what you need to accomplish the task, and when you have done His will , then you receive the promise. Every promise that The Lord has for me I want it, and I do not want my inactivity and impatience to stop, block, or hinder my blessings. Whatever The Lord has asked me to do, I want to do it with as little delay as possible, because I know my promise is waiting on my obedience. Since I will do the will of God for my life and wait on Him, I know for sure, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord I know that I can be impatient at times, but I want to do your will. Help me to focus on those things that you have for me to do. Thank you for all the promises you have made to me, I know they are on the way. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
