Be Forgiven

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
1 John 1:9
Each day no matter how hard we try or how determined we might be, we all sin. Sometimes we sin willfully, and other times we sin unknowingly. It does not make a difference who we are or how much we pray or go to Church, sin is inevitable for each of us. When we sin, we cannot have the attitude that it is no big deal, because it is a big deal to God, and we must ask Him to forgive us when we sin. The Scripture reminds us that if we confess our sins, God is faith and just to forgive us of our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. I encourage you today to spend some time with God and confess your sins to Him. It is not easy to go to God and confess all the things you may have done, but remember He already knows all about it. You do not serve a God who is waiting to take you out, but you serve a God who is waiting to forgive you and cleanse you of all your unrighteousness. When you go to God and be honest with Him, He has promised you He would forgive your sins, and when God forgives you, He gets rid of it, and you never to see or hear about it again. Not only will He forgive you, but God will also cleanse you of all unrighteousness. There is not anyone who is perfect except for Jesus, and since you are not perfect you need to go to a perfect, faithful, and just God knowing He will love you through everything and give you a new lease on life. I thank God I can go to Him, just as I am and confess my sin to Him and Him alone, and know when I do, He is faithful and just and will forgive and cleanse me. Since I serve a faithful, forgiving and just God who is constantly cleansing of my unrighteousness, me I have no doubt, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord, every day no matter how hard I try not to, I sin and fall short of your glory. Please, forgive me of all my sin and cleanse me of all unrighteousness every day of my life. Thank you for being a forgiving and loving God who always gives me another chance. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
