Angels All Around
May 04, 2023
“Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.” Hebrews 13:2 (ESV)
There are many people who are going through many challenges in this season. The need for mental health services is increasing every day, however the services are not reaching everyone who needs them. I am disturbed by the death of Jordan Neely a 30 year old homeless black man who was choked to death on a subway, by a 24 year old white man, just because he was hungry, homeless, and needed mental health services. We have to become more concerned about those in need, and do more to help than to just push and brush them off. The Scripture reminds us, do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. I encourage you today to show hospitality to people regardless of what the look like or what they may be experiencing in life. A kind word goes a long way. A smile does more than you know for someone who hasn’t had anyone smile at them. Even a simple good morning could make someone’s day. You never know when you could be entertaining an angel unaware. I am determined to show hospitality to everyone God sends in my path. Since I will show hospitality to everyone, I have no doubt, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”
Prayer:
Lord help me to be an example of your love to others today. Help me to show hospitality and kindness to all you send my way. Thank you for the angels you send my way every day. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
