Always Near

Forsake me not, O LORD: O my God, be not far from me. Psalm 38:21

As God’s children we know He will not leave or forsake us. We know that no matter the situation or circumstance God is there for us all the time. However, there are times in our lives when we feel like The Lord has left and forsaken us, because we feel like we are all by ourselves. We feel like everyone has abandoned us at the same time. We feel like we are going to have to handle this situation alone, and no one will be there to help us. David felt this way at one time in His life and instead of giving up on God, He talked to Him. The Scripture reminds us that David prayed forsake, me not, O Lord and my God be not far from me. I encourage you today to look to The Lord in prayer. No matter what you may be going through, remember The Lord will not forsake you, even if you feel like He has. You may feel like you are going through all by yourself, but remember The Lord is there for you. When the storms of life become too much to bear just lift your voice and ask The Lord to be there with you, and not to be far from you. The Lord is never far from you, He has promised He will stick closer to you than any brother. The Lord will be there with you, even when you do not feel like He is there. Trust The Lord to bring you out and to bring you through, and He will be there for you, just like He has always been. I know no matter what it looks like The Lord will never forsake me and is always close to me. This is why I can confidently say, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"

Prayer:

Lord, thank you for never leaving me alone. Thank you for always being near tome. In those moments when I don’t feel like you are near I will remember that you are always near to me, and I know you will never forsake me. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
