Accepted

"Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God." Romans 15:7 (NIV)

We have heard it said that we should love everyone. We can pick and choose who we will like and who we will not like based on their personality, looks, or even where they may be from. In life we will meet all types of people, and as Christians we should do all that we can do to accept them no matter where they come from or what they may look like. The Scripture reminds us that we should accept one another as Christ has accepted us, in order to bring praise to God. I encourage you today to accept people for who God made them to be. It is not up to you to accept the way they dress, the way they look, or anything else, but you are to accept them for who God made them to be. Just as Christ has accepted you with all your issues and flaws, you should accept those that God allows to cross your pass. When you learn to accept and receive everyone you are giving praise to God. Not everyone will have the greatest personality or disposition, and they may make it difficult for you to receive and accept them but remember there are times when you make it difficult for The Lord to accept you as well. Be thankful to God for every encounter He allows you to have on His behalf, and show the love of Christ in every situation, and when you do it brings praise to God. I am thankful for those Christ has brought in my path, and no matter what they look like, or act like I will accept them, just as Christ has accepted me the way that I am. Since I will accept all people like Christ has accepted me, I have no doubt, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"

Prayer:

Lord thank you for accepting me with all my flaws. Thank you for loving me through all my mistakes and failures. Help me to accept everyone just as you have accepted me, and allow me to show them the love of Christ. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
