Abundant Life
June 08, 2026
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” John 10:10 (ESV)
A thief’s main objective is to take something that does not belong to them. A thief will go to great length to relieve someone of their property. They will use deception and try to fast talk people out of what they own. They will use strong armed tactics and just take what they want. A thief is not our friend, but our enemy. The Scripture reminds us that the thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. I encourage you today not to allow the thief to come in and steal anything from you. The enemy is like a thief because he will do whatever he can to steal your joy, peace, and happiness. The enemy wants to kill your health, and destroy your life, but you do not have to let the enemy achieve his objectives. Christ has come so you may have life and have it more abundantly. With Christ on your side, you do not have to worry about the thief stealing anything from you, because what the enemy tries to take from you, Christ is there to protect you. Do not spend your time worrying about what the enemy is trying to steal, kill, and destroy, but live the abundant life Christ has for you. Christ died so you could have life. When you allow the enemy to steal your joy, kill your peace and destroy your happiness, you can never see the abundant life Christ has for you. Hasn't the enemy stolen enough of your life already? Now live the abundant life that Christ has for you, and know He will restore your joy, peace, and happiness the enemy has tried to steal from you. I thank God that Christ came so I can have life, and have it more abundantly, and I will not allow anything or anyone to take it from me ever again. Since I have made up my mind to enjoy the abundant life I have in Christ, I know for sure, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for life. Thank you for allowing me to live an abundant life. The thief will do all they can do to steal my joy and peace, but you gave it to me and no one or nothing can steal it from me. Let the joy of this life fill me and remind me today that you are always with me. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
