A Good Friday
March 29, 2024
“And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.” Luke 23:46
Today is Good Friday. On the surface it may not seem to be so good. This is the day that we remember the crucifixion and death of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Although we are remembering His death this is a good Friday, because His death did not mark the end, but the beginning for new life for His believers. The Scripture reminds us that, when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost. I encourage you today to thank and praise God for the sacrifice that He paid for you on the cross. It is a good Friday, not because Jesus died on the cross, but because your sins died on the cross that day on Calvary. When Jesus gave up the ghost, my sins had been paid for and I at that moment had a right to the tree of life. I am forever thankful and grateful for the price that Jesus paid for my sins on the cross at Calvary. Since today is a Good Friday, I have no doubt, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”
Prayer:
Lord thank you for paying the price for me at Calvary. Thank you for dying in my place and for giving to me a right to the tree of life. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
