Don’t Be afraid To Pray
June 01, 2026
“Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.” Matthew 6:8 (ESV)
Prayer should be an essential part of any believer’s life. Prayer is how we communicate with God, and how He communicates with us. Prayer has a way of turning situations around, and no matter how low we are, prayer lifts us up. When we come to God in prayer, we do not have to pray like anyone else, but simply be ourselves and talk to God. The Scripture reminds us, do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. I encourage you today not to be timid when you come to God in prayer. God knows what you have need of, and He already knows how He is going to supply that need. You may ask yourself if God already knows what I need and what I am going to ask for, then why do I need to pray? You need to pray because God wants to hear from you, and He wants you to ask Him for what you need. There are times in prayer when we do not know what to ask for, but God will put it on our hearts. It does not make a difference what you are going through, and how many things are on your plate, pray. Do not be afraid to pray, and do not be afraid to ask God for what you need. You may have tried everything else and everyone else, and they have not been able to help, but try God and prayer, and watch Him work it out for you. There are no special words when you pray, but you just pray and let God do there rest for you. I know prayer is the key that unlocks so many doors for me, and no matter what it looks like I will ask God knowing He already knows what I need and has already worked it out for me. Since I will pray and believe God will answer my prayers, I have no doubt, "It's My Year To Get my Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for hearing me when I pray. Thank you for allowing me to come to you in prayer. Thank you for not just hearing me when I pray but thank you for answering all my prayers. Thank you Lord for loving and caring about me, and I know that no matter what I am facing I can always come to you in prayer. Thank you for always being there for me. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
