Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit
May 27, 2026
"Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts." Zechariah 4:6
There are some things that we can get done simply by our strength. There are some other things that we may be able to get done by using the influence we have to make things happen. Yet there are times when all the influence we may have, and all the strength we have is not good enough to get some things accomplished. We can call in all the favors we have and still not be able to accomplish some things that are in front of us. There are some things that are not going to get done by our strength or power, but will only get done by the spirit of God. The Scripture reminds us that the word of the Lord for Zerubbabel was not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of host. I encourage you today to remember there is nothing you will be able to move without God's Spirit working on your behalf. You can be the strongest person in the world, and still will not be able to move obstacles out of your way. You may have all the intellect in the world, and still cannot solve the problems you are facing, because you need the Spirit of The Lord to work things out for you. Stop relying on yourself or others who are limited in what they can do, and begin to lean and trust and depend on the Lord. So, when things get rough and you do not know what else to do, remember it is not by your might nor by your power, but by the Spirit of The Lord that will make it happen in your favor. I am thankful that I do not have to be all knowing or all powerful, I just have to be faithful and trust in the Spirit of The Lord who is all knowing and all powerful, to work it all out in my favor. Since I am depending on the Spirit of The Lord to work all things in my life out in my favor, I have no doubt, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From my God!"
Prayer:
Lord, forgive me for trying to do things on my own and in my own strength. I know that it is not by my might or by my power, but everything that is going to happen in my life is going to happen by your Spirit moving on my behalf. Thank you for your Spirit and Lord please don’t ever take your Sprit from me. Thank you Lord for always being there for me. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
