Chosen By God

“You are my witnesses,” declares the LORD, “and my servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor shall there be any after me.” Isaiah 43:10 (ESV)

We are all witnesses to the power and mercy of God. We know firsthand what God can do and has done in our individual lives. We are His witnesses because we have experienced Him in ways that we can testify of His goodness and love. Not only are we His witnesses we are also the ones He has chosen to serve Him. There are times when we take this for granted and may act like we have chosen God, but we must never forget that He has chosen us. The Scripture reminds us He chose us to know and believe Him, that there is no other God like Him. I encourage you today to remember you have been chosen by God, you did not choose God, God chose you. It is only because of His great love for you, and His mercy He pours out on you each day that you are where you are. Even if you are not where you think you should be, it is only because of God you are where you are. Remember He is the One who was there for you when everyone else walked away from you. God was the one who chose you when people were rejecting you. Your scholarship, intellect, and money did not propel you to where you are it is only because you were and are chosen by God. You must understand that He is your everything and your all and all, and without Him you are nothing. As you go throughout this day remember the blessing you have just to be chosen by God. I thank God He chose and blessed me. Since I know that God is my everything and my all and all, I can confident in proclaiming, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”

Prayer:

Lord, thank you for choosing me. When people rejected me, you loved me and chose me to be your child. Thank you for loving me and keeping me through every season of my life. I am blessed to be chosen by you. Thank you for always being there for me. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
