Drink Milk
May 19, 2026
"As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:" 1 Peter 2:2
Babies are dependent on others to do everything for them. It is only by the nutrients they daily that help them to grow. Just like newborn babies, when we first come to Christ, we are babes in Him. We really do not know the Word and what we should do or how to do what we should do. However, as we are fed the Word we begin to grow. The Scripture reminds us that as newborn babes we should desire the sincere milk of the Word that we my grow by it. I encourage you today to have a desire for the Word of God. It does not make a difference how long you have been saved or in the Church, it is the Word that is going to help you grow. As a Christian it is essential for us to feast on the Word of God and have a strong desire for is so we may become stronger each day. As we read God's Word, we must understand that his Word will make us strong and healthy, that we might be able to make it through the storms life will throw our way. Do not ever think you are too big for spiritual milk, because without spiritual milk your bones will become brittle and begin to break, and without the Word of God in your life you will become brittle and begin to break. Each day I will make sure I have a good dose of the Word, because I know it will keep me strong for everything life has for me. Since I will stay in His Word, I have no doubt, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for your Word. Your Word gives me strength each day to make it through every storm, every trial, and every valley I will face in life. Thank you for feeding me your Word and helping me to be strong in your Word. Thank you for always being there for me. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
