A True Friend

"A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.” Proverbs 18:24

There are many different categories of friends. Some use this term very loosely and anyone they know are their friends. Then there are the so-called friends those who claim to be our friends but are only our friends when they need or want something from us. Then there are the friends who are always giving us the advice, and knows everything about everything and what is good for us. Then there are the true friends who are there with us through thick and through thin, and are there for us no matter what. Then there is the ultimate friend who no matter what we are going through is always there with us and for us. Late night or early in the morning our friend Jesus is always there for us. The Scripture reminds us, a man that has friends must show himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother. I encourage you today to show yourself friendly. If you want better friends, then you must be a better friend. When so-called friends try to use you and treat you wrong, remember there is a friend you have that will stick closer to you than any brother. You do not have to put up with fake people just so you can have a friend, remember Jesus is your friend that will always be by your side. Jesus is the friend you can tell everything to and never have to worry about it being said to anyone else. Jesus is the friend who will walk the floor with you all night long. When you really need a friend remember Jesus is there for you. I am thankful for my true friends, and I know no matter what I go through, Jesus is my best friend and will always be there for me. Since Jesus is always there for me, I have no doubt. "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"

Prayer:

Lord, thank you for being my friend. Thank you for always being there for me and never letting me down. Thank you for listening and hearing me and walking with me through it all. You are truly a friend that sticks closer than any brother. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
