Be Still
April 01, 2026
"Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth." Psalm 46:10
When storms, trials, and tribulations come our way we do all we can to get out of them as quickly as possible. When things in our lives are broken, we scramble and fix the problems so we can move on with our lives. There have been times when we do not know if we are coming or going because things are so hectic around us. We have experienced the feeling of one thing right after another, and one storm after another storm, and we are frantic in the midst of so many things happening at one time. With all that happening around us, we must realize that The Lord is with us, and we do not have to have a nervous breakdown, but just trust Him to see us through. The Scripture reminds us that we should be still and know that He is God, and He will be exalted among the heathen. I encourage you today even in the midst of your storm to be still and know that He is God. Be still when all around you is crumbling and you do not know what to do. When the enemy is coming against you, and trying to take you out, be still and know that He is God. Instead of trying to fix everything, get to a place where you can be still and know that God is just who He says He is in your life. Be still and know that God is doing great things in your life. Be still and know that God is exalted not only above your enemy, but also above your problems, above your trials, and above all that you go through in life. It is not easy being still, because your natural reaction is to do something about what you are going through in life. The something you need to do when you do not know what to do, is to be still and trust God through it and despite it all. Being still is will not be easy, but it is necessary for God to be exalted in my situation. I am getting out of God's way and letting Him work all things out for me. Since I am learning to be still in God, I have no doubt, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord, being still is not easy to do when the trials of life are raging. I trust you and I know that you will work everything out for my good and for your glory. Help me to be still in the moments that you are working things out for me. Help me be still and remember that you are God and that there’s nothing too big for you, and because you did it before you will do it again. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
