Let It Die
March 27, 2026
“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.” John 12:224 (ESV)
Death is never a pleasant subject to talk about. It is never easy when dealing with a loss of a loved one or someone who was very close to us. Although our faith tells us that they are in a much better place because they are with The Lord, it is still difficult to deal with. However, we don’t deal with physical death, but there also is spiritual death. Not all spiritual death is negative, but there are some positive things that we can glean from some things dying spiritually in our lives. There are some things in our lives that we just need to allow to die, so we can move on and be who The Lord wants us to be. The Scripture reminds us that, except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it remains alone: but if it die, it brings forth much fruit. I encourage you today to ask The Lord what things need to die in your life. Sometimes you have to allow a bad attitude to die, so you can bring forth much fruit in your life. Sometimes you have to allow those friendships that are holding you back from what The Lord really has for your life to die. When you hold on to things that are not producing anything in your life, you will become as stuck and as stagnant as they are. When you allow negative attitudes, people, and things to die a spiritual death, then you are ready to produce a harvest of much fruit in your life. You have carried around some things for a long time, and you now know The Lord is trying to lift off of you those extra bags, and it is difficult to let go because they have been a part of you for so long, but it you continue to hold on to them you will miss the harvest of blessings that The Lord has for your life. Whatever The Lord tells me must die in my life, I am willing to let it go, so I can cling to the great blessings The Lord has for my life. Since I will continue to look for the harvest of blessings for my life in Christ I know for sure, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord, let those things that eed to die In myy life die, so I can live a harvest filled life in you. Thank you for the harvest of blessings that are on the way in my life. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
