A Clean Heart
February 17, 2026
"Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me." Psalm 51:10
By virtue of who we are, we all make mistakes from time to time. No matter how perfect we try to be, and how we try to get everything right all the time, we all make mistakes. Even as Christians we commit sin each day. No matter how hard we try or make up our mind not to, we all sin and come short of God's glory every day. There are times when we can get so comfortable in our sin, we do not take time to go to God and ask Him to forgive us of our sins, we simply keep going on in life like nothing has happened. David sinned and He knew enough to ask God to forgive Him, and to create in Him a clean heart and renew a right spirit within him. I encourage you today to ask God to create in you a clean heart. When you ask God to create in you a clean heart, it is like asking God to give you a new start in life. When God gives you a clean heart, He is essentially washing all your sins away, and giving you a heart that will follow Him. Do not be afraid to ask God to forgive you, He already knows what it is you have done, and is waiting with open arms to forgive you of all your sins. He will not only create in you a clean heart, but He will renew a right spirit within you. When God renews your spirit, you will feel joy, love, and peace like you never have before. When God renews your spirit, you will seek Him like you never have before and know there is nothing you cannot accomplish with God on your side. Lord create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit in me every day, so I might serve you more. Since God is giving me a clean heart and renewing my spirit every day, I have no doubt, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for another day. Thank you for new mercy and grace of today. Lord, creating me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me every day that I might follow your will and your way for my life. Lord, thank you for forgiving me of all my sins and giving me a new start today. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
