Overflowing Hope
January 27, 2026
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13 (NIV)
We often treat hope like a battery that we have to recharge through our own willpower or by looking for silver linings in a cloudy sky. Hope is not something we have to recharge, but we find our hope in God, God is not just a provider of hope, but God is hope. Hope is the very very nature of who God is. We don’t find our real hope in things, but real hope and the sustaining hope that we need to make it through, is found in God. The Scripture reminds us, may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as your trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. I encourage you today to walk in the joy and peace you have because you are connected to the God of hope. When things are not working the way you thought they would, remember God is your source of hope and strength and He will give you joy and peace. When you put all your trust in God He has promised you that He would cause you to overflow with hope and that hope will lead and guide you to the destiny that God has for you. You may lose a lot of things in this life, but never lose your hope in the God of hope. All my hope is in God and the joy and peace that I have is a byproduct of my hope in God. I am grateful that He gives me my overflow of hope in Him, and since I will never lose hope in God, I have no doubt, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for being my God of hope. Thank you for filling me with joy and peace that I can make it through whatever it is that I face, because my hope is in You the God of hope. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
