Knowing Where Your Strength Comes From
January 26, 2026
“I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13 (ESV)
Philippians 4:13 is one of the most beloved and quoted verses in the Bible. It offers a powerful reminder that we are not alone in our struggles, challenges, or daily routines. The Apostle Paul wrote these words while he was in prison, facing hardship and uncertainty. Yet, his confidence didn’t come from his circumstances but from a profound dependence on Jesus Christ. If we are not careful we will think that this verse is as a promise of success in anything we set our minds to. However, Paul is saying that whether we face abundance or need, joy or suffering, we can endure all things because Christ is our source of strength. The power to persevere, to be content, and to overcome obstacles comes not from our own determination, but from God’s presence within us. The Scripture reminds us, I can do all things through him who strengthens me. I encourage you today to remember where your strength comes from. Consider the challenges or uncertainties you’re facing today. Are you trying to handle them in your own strength, or are you relying on Christ? When you feel overwhelmed, pause and invite Jesus into your circumstances and trust Him to supply the strength, wisdom, and peace you need. When you are determined that you can do all things through Christ that gives you strength you are surrendering your self-reliance and embracing God’s sufficiency. It’s a daily decision to walk by faith and depend on Jesus, knowing that He equips you for every situation you will face in life. I know that I do not have enough strength to make it through the challenging situations and circumstances that come my way, so I am determined every day and in every situation that I can do it because Christ gives me strength. Since I am depending on Christ for my strength in every situation, I have no doubt, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for giving me the strength to make it through I all. Forgive me for relying on my own strength to make it knowing that I cannot make it without you, but I know that I will have victory because you are with me every step of the way. Continue to give me the strength to make it through it all. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
