First Priority

"Thou shalt have none other gods before me." Deuteronomy 5:7

Having priorities are important in life, and there are times when we can have our priorities all worked out then something happens and changes them in a matter of minutes. We have all been in a place where we had to make some split-second decisions. In making those decisions sometimes they were good and other times they were not the best, because we put something or someone first who should not have been. We face the same decisions when we are serving God, there are so many things which try to get in the way of us serving God, and there have been times we have put God on the back burner to do other things. The Scripture reminds us we should not put anything or anyone before God. I encourage you today to remember to keep God first in your life. No matter how tempting a thing may be, do not put God on the back burner to accomplish anything. God wants to be and should always be first in your life. There were times when no one else was there for you, but God has always been there for you through thick and thin. Put God first despite what the situation is or how you think it will turn out and you will find very quickly, that when you make God first priority in your life it is the best decision you could ever make. When you put God first, you will find that He is always there for you. Do not let people or things come between you and God. God is number one in my life and always will be, and I will put nothing or no one before Him, this is why I am so certain, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"

Prayer:

Lord, you are first in my life. There is no one like you and there will never be anyone like you in my life. Thank you for walking with me through it all. Thank you for loving me always. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
