Standing Firm
October 10, 2025
"He is not afraid of bad news; his heart is firm, trusting in the Lord." Psalm 112:7 (ESV)
Good things happen to bad people, and bad things unfortunately happen to good people. Things can spring up on us out of nowhere, and before we know it, we are in a struggle. The sun can be shinning in our lives one minute and it can be pouring down rain the next. Life has its way of giving us twist and turns, and it can be a fearful thing when you are not expecting the next turn. No one wants to receive bad news, and with the evolution of technology we can receive news bad or good faster than ever before. When bad news is received it can put an immediate damper on whatever it is going on in our lives. The Scripture reminds us not to be afraid of bad news, when our hearts are stayed on The Lord. I encourage you today not to be afraid of bad news; bad news will find you wherever you are. No matter how many times you try to hide from it, stay away from it, or do not want to listen to it, bad news will find you. When you are in right relationship with God you do not have to be afraid of receiving bad news, because your heart is firm and you are trusting in God. When bad news comes your way do not lose faith in God, continue to trust Him no matter what the situation may be in your life. Continue to look to Him for all your needs, and when your heart is firm, and you know without a doubt God will strengthen you, the bad news will not seem as bad as when you heard it. Trust in God and know He knows what He is doing in your life. I do not like bad news, but I thank God I am not afraid of it, because I trust God and He will bring me out, this is why I am confident, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord, my heart is tuned to you. I don’t know what this day holds, but I know you hold the day in your hand and whatever news comes my way I know that you will turn all the bad into good for your glory. Thank you Lord, for covering me and keeping me and loving me always. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
