Stir Up The Gift
January 15, 2025
“Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.” 1 Timothy 1:6
There are not too many people who do not like to receive gifts. A gift is something one can receive because someone was thinking about them or on a special occasion. Some gifts we receive are great and some are not so great, but nevertheless they are all gifts. We can either accept the gifts or reject the gifts that are given to us, and there are even times when we will exchange the gifts for something we like better. When we think about all the great gifts we have received in our lives, there is none greater than our gift of salvation. Not only has God given us the gift of salvation, but He has given us some other gifts that we have deep down on the inside of us. The Scripture reminds us that we should remember to stir up the gift of God, which is in us. I encourage you today to stir up the gift that is in you. God has given you some precious gifts, and you should us the gifts He has given to you. Stir up the gift of love to those around you, for someone will need some love today. Stir up the gift of kindness, for you may encounter someone who simply needs a kind word. Stir up the gifts that The Lord has placed in your heart. The gifts are there all you need to do is stir them up. Become motivated to use the gifts that God has placed in your life, knowing that He did not give them to you to be idle, but He has given them to you to bless you and those around you. Relight the fire and passion that you had to be a servant of God, so others around you may be recipients of the gifts of God and see the goodness of The Lord working in your life. I am thankful and grateful for the gifts that The Lord has placed in my life, and I will constantly stir up the gifts that are in me. Since I am relighting the fire inside of me, I know for sure, "Its' My Year To Get My thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for every gift you have poured into my life. Thank you that you have entrusted me with such great things, remind me to stir up the gifts that are inside of me and reignite the fire that I have inside of me. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
