True Love
April 05, 2025
“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 (ESV)
Love is a powerful word, but love is just a word if there is no action behind it. It is great to hear someone tell us they love us, and we all want to feel loved. Love is not just a one-way street, it takes two people to love one another. Jesus did not just give us lip service when He said He loved us, He showed us how much He really loved us when He died for us. We should want to show Jesus how much we love Him, by our worship, praise, and service towards Him. The Scripture reminds us that God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. I encourage you today to remember the awesome love God showed you by sending His Son to die for you. Jesus did not have to stay on the cross, but He loved you so much He died for you. He didn’t do it because you were perfect, but because He loves you. No matter what you may be facing or how many trials and tribulations come your way, remember Jesus loves you. When people who say they love you are and then not there for you, all you have to do is remember how Jesus went to the cross for you, and how He gave His life for yours, and you will quickly remember that's love. This season of Lent is a time to remember the sacrifice that Christ made for us and the immense love that He has for us, and we should have for Him and others. I am grateful that God loves me so much that He sent His Son Jesus to die for me. I am thankful that every day He shows me how much He loves me and cares about me. No matter what I face I know that I can make it because Jesus loves me. Since I know that I am loved by God, I have no doubt, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for loving me always. Thank you for shining your light of love on my life every day. Thank you for your immense and true love towards me. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
