A Bright Future
April 28, 2025
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, Philippians 3:13
Some parts of our past are pleasant, and we do not mind looking back on them, while other parts of our past are not, and we would rather forget them if we could. There are times when we hold on to the past so tight it makes it hard for us to move forward, and to do the things which are in front of us. Paul in this Scripture reminds us we should forget those things which are behind us and reach for the things which are in front of us. I encourage you today to let your past be your past. There is nothing about yesterday you can change. Forget about past failures, hurts, and disappointments, and reach forward to the things God has in front of you. All that God has for you is in front of you, not behind you, and although it may be painful and you may find it difficult, let go and let God do what He wants to do in your life. You may have made some mistakes in your life, but we all make mistakes, and it is essential for you to move forward and not backwards in your life. Yesterday is gone, today is here, and tomorrow is in front of you, reach for the great things God has in your present and your future and you will not be disappointed. I have made mistakes, and I know I cannot change my past, but I can only look ahead to the great things God has in front of me, and I will reach for it. Today is a new day and I am new man in God, this is why I know for sure, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for the bright future that is ahead of me. I will forget those things that are behind me and I will reach ahead to the great future you have planned for my life. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
