A Praying Mother
May 11, 2025
And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the LORD, mine horn is exalted in the LORD: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation. 1 Samuel 2:1
Today across America we celebrate Mother’s Day. Next to the love of God, there is nothing as special as a mothers love. A mother will go above and beyond for her children. She will stay up late at night and rise early in the morning just to make sure her children are well taken care of. A mother will go without to make sure her children have everything they need. In the Scripture Hannah did not have any children, but prayed to the Lord to bless her with some. The Lord answered Hannah's prayer, and Hannah prayed to the Lord for her child, and gave Him glory for the victory she had concerning her child. I encourage you today to take time to celebrate the mothers in your life. A mother does not have to be the one who gave birth to you, but a woman who took the time to make sure you had what you need. The one who was there to correct you when you were wrong and love you when you needed it. Celebrate mothers today who made the sacrifices necessary to ensure their children have the very best. It does not make a difference where you mother is, pick up the phone and call her today and thank her for all the things she has done for you. If The Lord has called your mother home, take time today to remember the good times you shared together, and how her love still is present in your life. I am not fortunate to have my mother still here with me, but I am thankful to God for a mother who always prayed for me. When I didn't pray, she prayed and God heard her prayer. "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for all the mothers who are al blessing in the lives of their children. Thank you for loving us so much that you would send mothers into our lives. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
