Rejoice And Be Glad

“This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24 (ESV)

None of us know what everything today has in store for us. We know what we have scheduled today and what we have planned, but we really don’t know what this day holds. It would be foolish of us to think that we can go throughout this day and every plan work the way we want them to and everything that we purposed to do will work in exactly how we planned it. There are going to be some things that don’t get accomplished today, there are going to be some plans that don’t work out today and we may even have some disappointments today. We should be able to give God thanks and praise for the day that He has given us and the ways that He will make for us today. The Scripture reminds us, this is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it. I encourage you today to rejoice throughout this day. Rejoice when things are working out the way you planned. Rejoice when the plans don’t seem to be coming together. Rejoice when you are up and when you are down, rejoice and be glad today not because of what you are facing or going through, rejoice and be glad because this is the day The Lord has made, and He made it with you in mine. No matter what I experience today, I will rejoice and be glad because I know that The Lord has made this day for me and all that I face is part of His plan and purpose for my life. Since I will always rejoice and be glad, I have no doubt, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”

Prayer:

Lord, thank you for this day that you have given to me. Thank you for all the great and wonderful things you have in store for me today. Thank you for the blessings that will flow my way today and even the challenges that I may face, I will rejoice and be glad because I know I am blessed by you. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
