Speak Life

“Whoever keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps himself out of trouble.” Proverbs 21:23 (ESV)
Our words are powerful. With words we can lift someone up or we can bring someone down. With our words we can encourage someone to be their best or we can destroy them. Words once spoken cannot be taken back, and that is why it is essential that we control the words that we speak. The Scripture reminds us, whoever keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps himself out of trouble. I encourage you today to speak words of life to yourself and other. As you speak to others today remember that your words have power. Use your words to encourage someone and not tear them down. Use your words as positive affirmations to those who may be going through a tough time. Use your words today to encourage yourself and remind yourself who you are in God. When you can keep your mouth and your tongue you will see the goodness and grace of God working in your life. I am determined to speak words of life and positive words of affirmation today that will build and not tear down. Since I will be conscious of the words I speak today, I have no doubt, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for always speaking words of affirmation and life to me. Let me be an encouragement to someone today by speaking words of encouragement to someone who may need it today. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
