When You Don’t Know What To Pray

"Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words." Romans 8:26 (ESV)

We can all agree that prayer is an essential part of our lives as Christians. Prayer is our communication with God, and His way of communicating with us. It is through prayer that we have the assurance that no matter what it is we are going through, after we pray about it, we know that things will be better. There is not a situation that we face where prayer is not in order or where prayer will not work. However, there are times when we are going through some things and we just do not know what we should pray or even how we should pray. That is when we should allow the Spirit to pray for us. The Scripture reminds us that, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray as we ought, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groaning’s too deep for words. I encourage you today to remember when you do not know what you should pray for, allow the Spirit to intercede for you. When life becomes so heavy and you do not know what to ask The Lord for, allow the Spirit to intercede and pray on your behalf. It is the Spirit that knows what you are facing and what you are going through and it is the Spirit that also knows what The Lord has in store for you, and when you allow the Spirit to pray for you, He will pray God's will for your life. As you build a strong prayer life there will be occasions when the words will not seem to come together, and you will feel like you do not know what to say, that is the time to rest in The Lord, and know the Spirit will pray for you, with groaning’s that are too deep for words. Those groaning’s may not make sense to you, but they speak volumes to God. When I do not know what to pray, I want to rest in The Lord knowing that the Spirit will pray for me with words too deep for me to utter. Since I know the Spirit knows what I am in need of for my life, and will pray for me I have no doubt, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"

Prayer:

Lord, I know that you know all about me and you know all that I need. When I don’t know what to pray for or even how to pray, Spriit pray for me. Lord, I know that you hear and answer my prayers, and I thank you for hearing and answering me when I call on you. Thank you for always being there for me. I love you Lord. Ion Jesus Name Amen.
