God’s Grace

"WHAT SHALL we say [to all this]? Are we to remain in sin in order that God's grace (favor and mercy) may multiply and overflow? Certainly not! How can we who died to sin live in it any longer?" Romans 6:1-2 (Amplified)

God’s grace is such a powerful force in our lives, and there are times when we do not even realize that we are recipients of His grace.  Grace is the unmerited unearned favor of God.  God gives us grace because He chooses to give it to us, not because we deserved or earned it.

Not My Will

“And he said, “Abba, Father, all things are possible for you. Remove this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.” Mark 14:36 (ESV)

At a time in all of our lives we have felt like the weight of the world was on our shoulders.  We have felt like the pressures of life were enveloping us so much that we did not think we were going to make it.

Watch The Crowd

"Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them." Romans 16:17

Growing up we had mothers who would always remind us to make sure that we were mindful of the company we kept.  They wanted to make sure that we were not hanging out with the wrong crowd because the wrong crowd would likely cause us to get into trouble.

“Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12 (ESV)

Many of us grew up having to go to Church and participate in the events happening in Church.  The first Scripture we were taught was probably because of our attending Sunday School and other ministries geared towards young people in the Church.  Although many of us may have strayed away from the Church once we were older it was those lessons that we learned at a young age that brought us back to the Church.

The Lord Is In Your Midst

“The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.” Zephaniah 3:17 (ESV)

It is a good thing when The Lord is in the midst of us.  When The Lord is in the midst of us it does not make a difference what is happening around us, because The Lord is there everything else cannot take precedence.  In the middle of trying situations there is no need to fear or fret, because The Lord is in the midst of us.

Holding On To My Joy

“And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.” John 17:13

The greatest blessing that we have ever received is God sending Jesus to walk this earth for us.  It is the greatest blessing because we would not be where we are now if it had not been for the ultimate and great sacrifice of Jesus Christ in our lives.
