Complete In Christ

"And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power." Colossians 2:10

There are some who look for and believe that the only way they will be complete is if they find what they believe they are missing in someone else. When those people and things do not come through like they think they should then they begin to experience a feeling of being incompleteness.

There Is None Like Our God

"I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me." Isaiah 45:5

Each of us knows someone who is so unique that we can say there is no one else like them. Their style is unique; the things they say and do are theirs alone. As we look at our lives we can truly say that there is no one like The Lord our God.

More Than You Could Imagine

“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,” Ephesians 3:20 (ESV)

Our abilities in our humanness are limited at best. There are some things that we are able to do without any help at all, then there are some things that we are able to do with help from someone else, then there are some other things that we are just not able to do.

The Lord Cares For You

“casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7 (ESV)

Each of us at one time in our lives have found ourselves worried or anxious about something. It did not mean we did not have faith that God could work it out, or that he would work it out, but the enormity of the situation that we were facing caused us to worry about how we were going to make it.

You Have A Part To Play

"I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase." 1 Corinthians 3:6

In every team sport each of the teams members has a part to play. In some sports some play defense and others play offense. Then there are those on the team who do not start, but play a vital role by coming off of the bench, and being a substitute when necessary. When teams play together they do well, and they usually end up winning because they are playing well together.

“You shall remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day.” Deuteronomy 8:18 (ESV)

There are some people who have better memories than others. They can sit down and tell of stories of events that happened years ago like they were yesterday, and others had forgotten all about them. Then there are those of us who have to write everything down, because if we do not we will forget what it is that we are supposed to be doing.

Seek And Call

“Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:” Isaiah 55:6

For some of us Mondays are not the best day of the week. If we had our way we would extend our weekend into Monday just to rest from the weekend. For some of us Monday is a day we are forced to deal with unfinished business and things that were not accomplished from the week before.

Stay Connected

“Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.” Proverbs 13:12 (ESV)

A lamp is used primarily to illuminate dark places. There are all types of lamps, but each lamp is only useful when it has the proper power that allows it to illuminate. If the lamp is not plugged into the right outlet it will not be productive because it has no power.

God Will Answer You

“I cry to you for help and you do not answer me; I stand, and you only look at me.” Job 30:20 (ESV)

For many of us we have prayed more times than we can even count. We can look to times when we know that God has answered our prayers and we were able to find joy in those answered prayers. Then there are times when God answered our prayers by giving us the answer of no to what we were asking Him for.
