It does not make a difference how strong a person may be, rejection is not easy for anyone to take. The feeling of rejection can leave someone to a place of never trying anything again. Rejection from a job, a school, a loan, or anything is hard to take, but we should never allow rejection to be the final say over our lives.
As this New Year has begun we find ourselves at the first Sunday of 2019. This is a great opportunity for us to start our year off right by being in the House of The Lord.
No matter how old we are we are still learning things about ourselves. For some of us we are learning how strong we really are, because of some things that we have had to overcome.
As we have begun a New Year many of us have made some choices for our lives to make some lifestyle changes. With just a few days into the New Year it is easy if we are not careful to revert back to doing some of the same things that we have always done.
The Lord has been extremely good to each of us; He has made ways for us that only could be made by Him. The reason we are where we are in life and have what we have is because The Lord has blessed us.
There are many foods that are good for us, and there are many foods that are not healthy for us at all, and it tends to be that the foods that are not healthy for us that are the ones we like the most. Fruits and vegetables are the best for us and many of us will tolerate them, but if we had our choice we would have more deserts then we would the healthy choices.
A New Year ushers in new opportunities all around us. It is in a New Year where we can operate with a clean slate and make a concerted effort to do things in a different way. Some of the decisions that we make in a New Year are going be grounded in the direction that we want our lives to go.
The Lord has been so very good to each of us. As we look over our lives and see all of the great and wonderful things that The Lord has done in our lives, there should be no doubt, how great The Lord has been to us. For some of us we can speak of how The Lord healed us, for others we can speak of the ways that He has made or some miracles that The Lord has done for us.
Few things are more refreshing than spending some alone time with God in prayer. In those refreshing moments of prayer is when we can just tell God all about everything that is on our hearts and minds, and never have to worry about being judged or ridiculed. We do not have to put on any airs for God, just simply tell Him what is on our hearts. It is when we pour out our hearts before God that no matter how heavy the burden may be that we were carrying, after praying we have a sense that everything is going to work out in our favor.
