God's Child

"Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." I John 4:4

There is something special about a newborn and the innocence of a child that is a great blessing from The Lord.  There is nothing like a smile of a little baby or the joy a child can bring to the most difficult situations just by their presence. We are God's children and He delights in us.  We are so special and precious to God that He looks after us with His love.

“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.” Isaiah 6:8

When we begin to think about how good The Lord has been to us we are in awe of His graciousness to us.  It is out of this awesomeness of God that we want to praise Him in a variety of ways. There are many different ways that we can praise The Lord, and there are many different expressions that we use to give Him the glory.

Precepts For Life

"I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have given me life." Psalm 119:93 (ESV)

There are some things that we will never forget.  We will not forget those special days in our lives like weddings, the births of babies, special vacations, and a myriad of other events.  We also should never forget the day we gave our lives to The Lord.  Our day of salvation should be a day that we have etched on our hearts and there is nothing that can erase it from our memory.

Anointed For This

“saying, “Touch not my anointed ones, do my prophets no harm!” 1 Chronicles 16:22 (ESV)

It is a blessing to be anointed by God to do anything in His Kingdom.  When God anoints us it is for His service, and to do the things that He has called us to do.  The anointing that God has on our lives is not like the anointing that He has on anyone else’s life, and it is imperative for us to walk in our own anointing.

Better Is Coming

“For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.” Hebrews 12:11 (ESV)

It is not easy to go through trials and tribulations in life.  It is when we are going through our trials and tribulations that we can feel like we are going through them all alone, and it can feel like The Lord is abandoning us.

Walking In God’s Joy, Peace, And Holy Spirit

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” Romans 15:13 (ESV)

For many of us we have busy schedules that we try to juggle on a daily basis.  As we gear up to fulfill all of the things on our schedule we realize that some of those things are things we do not want to do, or are things that we know have the potential of being stressful.

Promise Keeper

“Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.” Isaiah 42:9

There are some promises that God has made to us that have already come to pass in our lives.  There are some other things that God has promised us that we are waiting for them to happen, and we have faith that they will happen.

Together In Unity

“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” Psalm 133:1

It is most certainly easier to accomplish something with help, than it is trying to do it all by ourselves.  It is better when we can have someone who we trust and depend on to help us in our times of needs.  It is also good to know that we have people who are supporting us and rooting for us to succeed.

"He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee." Luke 24:6

Today in Christendom we pause to celebrate Easter.  Easter is a time when we remember the resurrection of Jesus Christ.  For some it is another holiday to purchase a new suit or dress, and for some others this is one of the times of the year that they will go to Church.
