The Greatest Gift
The Scriptures teach us it is better to give than to receive, and it is all right to like to give and to receive. Look at children at how excited they become to open gifts or to even watch someone open gifts. When one celebrates a birthday and they receive gifts they are excited about the gift. Even the giver of the gift is excited because they are anxious to see the look on the persons face as thy open the gift. Then there are those who have everything and are the hardest people in the world to buy something for because they seemingly have everything and most times you end up giving them a gift card or money because finding them something is impossible. Then there are those who are so picky and they don't like anything and you spend your time shopping for the perfect gift and they turn around and return it because they don't like it. This can be frustrating at times, but James reminds us that, every good and perfect gift doesn't come from store every good and perfect gift comes from God. I encourage you today to cherish the gif you have in Jesus. He is the gift that you will never return. He is there when everybody else has turned their back on you. He will comfort, keep, talk to, and walk with you through every situation in your life. Jesus never changes He is not a fair weather friend. He will be there for you always. He will never betray your trust by putting your business in the street, because He is a confidant. Trust the gift that God has given us in Jesus Christ, and because I am a recipient of the good and perfect gift I know for sure, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Lord thank you for the greatest gift in the world in Jesus Christ, thank you for the gift of salvation. In Jesus Name Amen.
