Strive For Holiness
The Scripture reminds us to, be holy because God is holy. We can never be holy in the same manner as God is holy in that He is perfect in every way. We are not perfect, but every day we should strive for perfection, and every day come closer to being who God wants us to be. We can be holy by dedicating ourselves to The Lord and giving ourselves to what He has called us to do and to be. I encourage you today to take a look at where you are with God, and ask yourself if you are where God wants you to be, and are you becoming who God wants you to be? Being holy does not mean you have to change who you are, because God knew who you were wwhne He saved you. You can spend so much time trying to please people that you miss the time necessary to please God. There are some things that God is trying to do in your life, to draw you closer to Him, and it is up to you to heed the call, and become who He wants you to be. People may have all types of expectations on who they want you to be, and you may even try to live up to those expectations, but you should also remember that God has some expectations for you as well. The most important thing is to be who God has called you to be and He has called you to be holy. Every day I strive for perfection and try to get closer to where God wants me to be, and although many days I do not hit the mark it does not keep me from striving for holiness. Since I will continue to strive to be holy as God is holy, I have no doubt, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Lord forgive me for not always being who you called me to be. Lord, I want to be holy, as you are holy. Help me to walk in your holiness every day of my life. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
