He Is Not There

For others Easter is just another day, and really nothing special about it, but for those of us who love The Lord, it is a day of celebration that our Savior was and is not dead, but He lives, and because He lives we have eternal life. The Scripture reminds us that, the two Mary's and some others went to the tomb of Jesus to anoint His body for burial, only to discover that the stone had been rolled away, and Jesus was not there. They were met in the tomb by two angels who told them, He is not here, but is risen: remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee. I encourage you today to celebrate the fact that He was not there, but He had risen from the dead. Jesus has risen and for our sakes has defeated death and the grave. He has risen so you could have a right to the tree of life. He has risen so you would be able to rise from all that life throws at you. He has risen, so you could have a relationship with Him and the Father. He has risen so that you can live life eternally with Him in glory. He has risen and has obtained the victory, and because you serve a victorious Savior, you as well can and will have the victory in your life. They crucified Him and thought that was the end, but He rose with all power in His hands, and you can have power because you are connected to the Risen Savior. I am grateful that He was not there, but He got up just like He said He would, and because He is risen, I too can rise above those things that try to knock me down. Since I serve an all-powerful Risen Savior who gives me the victory I have no doubt, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"

Thank you Lord for rising for me. Thank you for giving me life, hope, and salvation, all because you were not there and you live. For all you do for me my soul says thank you. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
