Humble Servant

One arriving at their destination one of the servants of the house would wash the feet of those who have travelled. This act was done by a servant, and it should be no surprise to us that Jesus took the position as a servant and washed the disciples’ feet. The Scripture reminds us that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him. I encourage you today to remember the position of Jesus as servant, and as we remember He humbled Himself, we should also be prepared to humble ourselves and serve others. Jesus filling the basin with water and kneeling at the disciples’ feet, was Jesus demonstrating to the disciples the importance of humility and service. Continue to model yourself after Jesus and do not be afraid or ashamed to serve others as Jesus did. Serving others can be humbling, but it is also a blessing as I continue to pattern my life after Christ. Since I will serve others and be a blessing as The Lord is blessing me, I have no doubt, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”

Lord thank you for showing us how to be humble and serve. Allow me to humble myself and serve others and be a blessing to them as you are a blessing to me. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
