The Lord Is Always Close To You

September 08, 2026

“A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.” Psalm 91:7 (ESV)

We do not have to look for trouble, trouble will find us no matter where we are or what we are doing. There are times when it feels like trouble is all around us. We may not be in trouble, but we can see it everywhere we go. It is in the times of trouble rather we are in trouble or surrounded by trouble that we must remember we have a refuge in The Lord and we should seek shelter in Him. The Scripture reminds us, a thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. I encourage you today to trust The Lord in the mist of what you may see around you. It may look like sickness is all around you, but do not fret it will not come close to you. People may seem like they are going through this, that and the other thing all the time, but put your trust in The Lord and know it will not come close to you. There may be trouble on your job or in your school, but keep holding on to The Lord, and it will not come close to you. All around you things are happening, and you are waiting for your turn at trouble, and know that it may come your way, but since The Lord is with you, trouble will not come close to you. A thousand will fall at my side, and ten thousand at my right hand, but with God on my side it will not come near me. My testimony is I am kept by The Lord, and trouble will not come close to me because His hand of love and protection are on my life. Since my trust is in The Lord who made everything with His own hands, I have no doubt, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"

Prayer:

Lord, there are days when it feels like everything is closing in on me, and I don’t know if I can make it, but I know that you are with me and no matter what it is it will not get close enough to hurt me. Thank you Lord for always being closer to me than anything or anyone else. Thank you for always being there for me. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
