Peacemakers
June 26, 2026
"Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God." Matthew 5:9
Families have traditions and legacies that they try to honor as much as possible. For one family it may be the Thanksgiving tradition where they all gather in one place, and they look forward to the many dishes that are to be prepared. For another family it is their annual family reunion, and they look forward to getting together to celebrate one with another and for meeting new members of the family. Yet for other families it is the long history of attending the same college or university, and going into the same career field the family has held for many years. As children of God, we too are steeped in history and tradition and if we are truly His children then we should be the peacemakers. The Scripture reminds us that blessed are the peacemakers, for they are the children of God. I encourage you today to do all that you can do to be a peacemaker in every situation. When chaos is all around you do not add to the chaos but bring peace in the midst of it all. When you can be the peacemaker you are showing that you truly are a child of God. It is not always easy being the one who promotes peace, but when you can promote peace, you are showing God's love to those who cannot see it because of what they are facing. Always speak a word of affirmation to someone for you never know how that will bless their lives. No matter how difficult the situation may be speak peace and allow God's peace to show flow in you. In every situation I will try to be the peacemaker, because I know that I am a child of God. Since I know I am His child, I have no doubt, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for your peace that you give me every day. Thank you for always showing me the way to peace. I know that I cannot live without your peace in my life, allow me to be your ambassador and usher peace into every situation. Help me to be the peacemaker so someone may see you in me. Thank you for always being there for me. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
