My Joy

"For the joy of the LORD is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10 (ESV)

Every day The Lord blesses us in so many ways. Some of these blessings we can readily identify and others we don’t realize they were blessings in the moment. There are some days that we have that are really bad and we have to deal with challenges and obstacles and then there are days that are really good, and we enjoy them. It doesn’t make a difference if we are having a bad or a good day, a stormy or sunny day, every day we should have joy. Our joy should never be rooted in the type of day we have or the things that we go through. Our joy should always be rooted in The Lord. The Scripture reminds us, for the joy of the LORD is your strength. I encourage you as you traverse this day, to let the joy of The Lord give you strength. Find your joy in the great and wonderful things that The Lord is doing in your life. Find your joy in the blessings that God has already poured into your life. Find your joy in The Lord and when you do you will have strength to make it through whatever this day holds. When you maintain your joy through it all, nothing or no one will be able to steal your joy, for your joy is found only in The Lord. This joy that I have, is not based on things or people, this joy that I have is deeply rooted in The Lord and that is where I find my strength to keep going no matter what. Since the joy of The Lord is my strength every day, I have no doubt, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”

Prayer:

Lord, thank you for this joy that I have. Thank you for reminding me every day that my joy is not found in things, people, or circumstances, all my joy is found in you. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
