God Still Hears Us When We Pray

“Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.” James 5:16 (ESV)

I have heard it said and have said it many times myself that prayer changes things. Many times, we go through things and we do not think to pray first. We may go to people and have them try to help us out of what we are in or we try to fix things ourselves only to discover people cannot fix it and neither can we. Prayer is necessary every day of our lives, and without prayer we have no communication with God. Too many times we use prayer as our wish list to God instead of a conversation with God. The Scripture reminds us, therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for on another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. I encourage you today to build your prayer life every day. When things are going wrong in your life pray, and when things are going great, pray. Each day The Lord gives you talk to Him and thank Him for how good He has been to you, is a blessing that should not be ignored. Not only should you just pray for yourself, but since you know prayer works you should pray for others. Pray for your loved ones and your family members. Pray even for you enemies and those who may not like you, and have done you wrong. Prayer changes things. When you are fervent in prayer and believe that God can do what you are asking Him to do, you will discover that prayer still works. God still answers prayer, and it may not be today or tomorrow, but keep the faith and know in God's time He will answer your prayer. I am thankful that I can go to God and ask anything of Him in prayer, and I believe that He is still in the prayer answering business. Since I know God hears my prayers for me and, I have no doubt, "It's My Year To Get My Thing from My God!"

Prayer:

Lord, thank you for always hearing me when I pray. Thank you for sending answers to my prayers. Thank you for listening to me when I pray, and thank you Lord for keeping me and blessing me as I talk to you in prayer. Thank you for not just hearing my prayers for myself, thank you for hearing my prayers for others who need a touch of your hand in their lives. Thank you for always being there for me. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
