Endurance For The Reward
September 24, 2026
“For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised.” Hebrews 10:36 (ESV)
Many of us have heard that patience is a virtue and many of us will admit that we do need to be more patient in certain situations and with certain people. While we may admit to needing more patience, we still want things done quick, fast, and in a hurry. Waiting is not something we like to do, and we can get agitated when we have to wait for things that do not seem to happen as quickly as we like. We even become impatient with The Lord, and we want Him to hurry up and come and see about us and do what we want Him to do as soon as we finish praying. However, there are some things that He has asked us to do, and we are procrastinating and have not done what He has asked us to do. We want God to rush and fulfill our request, but we are in no rush many times to fulfill His request of us. The Scripture reminds us that, we are in need of patience, that, after we have done the will of God, we might receive the promise. I encourage you today to be patient and know that God has not forgotten about you. As you are waiting for Him to do what He has promised to do in your life, do not forget to do what He has asked you to do, for after you have done His will, then you will receive the promise. Ask yourself how many of your blessings are waiting on you to do what God has asked you to do? The road may not be easy, but you know that God is with you, and if He has placed it in your hands to get it done, then He has given you what you need to accomplish it, and when you have done His will, then you receive the promise. Every promise that The Lord has for me I want it, and I do not want my inactivity and impatience to stop, block, or hinder my blessings. Whatever The Lord has asked me to do; I want to do it with as little delay as possible, because I know my promise is waiting on my obedience. Since I will do the will of God for my life and learn to wait on The Lord, I know for sure, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord, I know that you have done some great things in my life and have already poured your blessings on my life. I also know you have many more and bigger blessings in store for my life and as I increase my endurance in waiting I know that the reward will be great. I trust you Lord, I love you Lord. Thank you Lord for always being there for me. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
