Be Still And Listen

"And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice." 1 Kings 19:12

When we need The Lord to move in our lives, we expect for Him to show up in a big way. We expect for Him to show Himself so everyone can see Him and what He is doing for us. However, The Lord is not like man, where He needs to make a grand entrance every time. There are times when The Lord will show up in the most quietest of ways. The Scripture reminds us that the Lord did not show up for the prophet in an earthquake or a fire, but in a still small voice. I encourage you today to be so connected to The Lord no matter how He shows up you will know He is there. When you need The Lord to move in your life, you are going to have to find a place with just you and The Lord and be still and allow The Lord to speak to you. While in prayer you may ask The Lord for all the things you need, and all the things you want, and even proclaim your intense desire to serve Him, and then get up and leave, but you should always get silent before The Lord and listen to Him. There are times when you must be still and quiet and let The Lord talk to you. If you are not still and everything around you is chaotic all the time, then you will miss what The Lord is saying for your life. I will be still so I can Hear the voice of The Lord speaking into my life. Since I am going to be sill, I listen for The Lord whispers to me, I know for sure, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"

Prayer:

Lord, I need to hear you speak to me. Help me to be still and silent so I can hear your voice. There is not a day or a time that I don’t need you in my life, so here I am Lord speak to me. Thank you for always being there for me. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
