Be Still
June 17, 2026
“You will not need to fight in this battle. Stand firm, hold your position, and see the salvation of the LORD on your behalf, O Judah and Jerusalem.’ Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed. Tomorrow go out against them, and the LORD will be with you.” 2 Chronicles 20:17 (ESV)
Each of us have had to fight some battles on the road of life. In fighting these battles, we have lost some and won some. At no time did we ever go into a battle looking to lose the fight, but we would give our all and try to get the victory each time. In life we are going to have to fight some battles, but there are some battles we do not need to fight. Some battles we need to let The Lord fight for us. The Scripture reminds us you will not need to fight in this battle. Stand firm, hold your position, and see the salvation of the LORD on your behalf, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed. Tomorrow go out against them, and the LORD will be you. I encourage you today to stand still and see what The Lord will do in your situation. This battle that you are going through is not your battle, you do not need to fight in this one, so just be still and let The Lord fight for you. You have tried to fight it and have come up short every time. Stand still, do not be so in a hurry to do this or that, but just stand still. Stand still and let The Lord do what He needs to do in your situation. You do not have to be afraid or even worry, because you know that The Lord is with you, and since The Lord is with you, you are no longer fighting a losing battle, but you will be able to see The Lord get the victory in your life. Battles will come and there will be some you will have to fight, but this one is not one of them, just stand still, do not be afraid and let The Lord work it out for you. All my battles I give to The Lord, and I will stand still no matter how hard it is to be still, and let The Lord fight for me. Since I know The Lord is with me and will fight for me, I have no doubt, "It's My Year to Get My Thing From My God!"
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for every battle that I must go through, because they serve as a reminder to me that I am never alone and that you will fight the battle for me. Help me to be still and wait on you and remind me that this battle is not mine, it is yours to fight for me. Thank you for always being there for me and always fighting for me. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
