All Things Become New

06-12-2019

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17

For many of us we saved by the blood of Christ and we are grateful for our salvation.  We have experienced a new life in Christ like never before, and since that very day we gave our lives to Christ we can testify that we have never been the same.

He Will Never Leave Or Forsake You

06-11-2019

“Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6 (ESV)

There are going to be some challenges in life that we are going to have to face, and those challenges may be so daunting that it will cause us to become afraid.  Once fear sets in the challenge becomes even more difficult, and the thought of giving up sinks in because it does not look like we can overcome the obstacle that we are facing.

The Better Blessing

06-10-2019

“Better is a little with the fear of the Lord than great treasure and trouble with it.” Proverbs 15:16 (ESV)

On a daily basis The Lord blesses us in more ways than we can count.  Many times we are looking for the big blessing and miss the little and important things that The Lord has done for us.  We should never overlook the little things that The Lord does in our lives, because it is those little things that sprout up into big blessings.

Accept The Gift

06-09-2019

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23

There are a variety of reasons that we get up every day and make our way to work.  For some it is because they love what they do, and they could not imagine doing anything else.  For some it is the reward that they get in just helping someone along the way.

Seeing Great Things

06-08-2019

“For your eyes have seen all the great work of the Lord that he did.” Deuteronomy 11:7 (ESV)

It does not take much thought on our part to see and to know that The Lord has done great things in our lives.  When we compare how good we have been to how good The Lord has been to us we should be amazed at His grace, mercy, and kindness towards us.  Many times we focus on those things that have not gone well, or those things that we are facing that seem insurmountable, and it can become difficult to get pass those thoughts and visions.

Praying Together Works

06-07-2019

"Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven." Matthew 18:19 (ESV)

It becomes necessary at times to do some things alone, and that includes being alone with God. In our alone time with God He is able to talk to us and pour into from His storehouse of goodness and mercy. In our alone time with God He can give us the strength to do whatever it is He will have us to do.  Then there are times when we need somebody we can pray with.

Always The Same

06-06-2019

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Hebrews 13:8 (ESV)

We are living in an ever changing world.  It seems that every day something is changing and we have to make the necessary adjustments to meet the changes that are happening around us.  Some things change for the better and some for the worse, but each of us should realize that change will happen rather we like it or not.

Accept Divine Guidance

06-05-2019

“When people do not accept divine guidance, they run wild. But whoever obeys the law is joyful.” Proverbs 29:18 (NLT)

When we were children and youth we thought that we knew everything and our parents did not know anything because they were simply old fashion and not really attuned to the things of current times.  We listened to what they said, but we did not believe that they understood what we were going through.

Keep Praying

06-04-2019

"And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them." Acts 16:25

Few things are more refreshing than spending some alone time with God in prayer. In those refreshing moments of prayer is when we can just tell God all about everything that is on our hearts and minds, and never have to worry about being judged or ridiculed.
