“As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.” Psalm 42:1
The feeling of being thirsty and parched is one that each of us has experienced, and although we know what it is that will quench the thirst that we are experiencing we at times find it difficult to have our thirst quenched. When we are really thirsty our favorite soft drinks, juices, or one of our other favorite beverages will not quench our thirst.
Healing For Your Brokenness
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Psalm 147:3 (ESV)
Rough patches will happen in all of our lives as we travel this journey of life. There will be times when we will feel like it is one thing right after another and we can seemingly never catch a break. It is in these seasons of ups and downs that we can find ourselves feeling broken and wounded because of the things that we have gone through.
Call On The Lord
"In distress you called, and I delivered you; I answered you in the secret place of thunder; I tested you at the waters of Meribah." Psalm 81:7 (ESV)
Each of us has been in a situation where we were in distress. We have found ourselves in situations and circumstances that we just could not get ourselves out of, and we had to call someone that we thought could help us in our time of need.
“Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!” 1 Chronicles 16:34 (ESV)
As we pause to celebrate Thanksgiving Day, may people have many different traditions that they share on this day. Many will gather with family and friends to share in the Thanksgiving meal, some will travel to watch sporting events, or some other activities that have become a part of their family tradition. No matter what happens today, we should make sure that we give thanks to The Lord for all that He has done for us.
