“For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after." Jeremiah 30:17

People are not always going to be nice.  There will be times when people will not treat us right just because they don't like us for one reason or another.  We have all met a person who was mean just to be mean, nobody did anything to them or said anything to them, they are just mean for no reason.

Prayer Still Works

“And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. “ James 5:15

Many of us who grew up in Church can remember hearing people testify before service began. Undoubtedly many of those who testified would end their testimony by asking those who knew the words of prayer to pray for them.  This saying became so common that many times we did not even give any thought to what they were really asking for.

For Such A Time As This

"For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" Esther 4:14

We have all been in situations in life when we really did not know how we got to where we were.  We all have hit rough spots in our lives and we try to figure out how we go there and how we are going to get out of that situation.  There are things that happen in our lives specifically to help us get to another place.

Worship Him

"And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place." Acts 2:1

There is something extremely special when all of God's children can come together in one place.  When we go to Church it is should not be an exercise in habit, but it should be a time when God's children can come together and worship Him and fellowship with one another.  So many times we come together as the Church and it just the same old things the same old way.

He's My Friend

"and the Scripture was fulfilled that says, Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness—and he was called a friend of God." James 2:23

Friends will come and friends will go in this life.  It is a great to have friends we can count on and know that they are there for us in our times of trouble.  It is good to have someone in our lives that we can call no matter what time of day or night or whatever it is we are going through we know they will be there for us.

You're Family

“So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God’s holy people. You are members of God’s family.” Ephesians 2:19 (NLT)

Every day we should count our blessings if we are able to be a part of a family.  Even if we do not speak to our family every day or see them as often as we want to, we are blessed to have family that we are connected to.  There are those who are not connected with family members for a variety of reasons, but The Lord has blessed us to be part of a family, even if that family has issues and flaws they are still our family.

The Lord Delight's In You

“If the Lord delights in us, he will bring us into this land and give it to us, a land that flows with milk and honey.” Numbers 14:8 (ESV)

We can recount times in our lives when we did not do some things that our parents asked or told us to do.  There are times we can remember when our children willfully disobeyed us and how disappointed we were in them and our parents in us.  The same way we disobeyed and disappointed our parents and our children have done likewise, is the same way when we disobey The Lord that He becomes disappointed in us.

The Apple Of God's Eye

“He found him in a desert land, and in the howling waste of the wilderness; he encircled him, he cared for him, he kept him as the apple of his eye.” Deuteronomy 32:10 (ESV)

We may not be where we want to be in our lives, but we are also not where we were.  If we would take inventory of our lives we would be able to see that The Lord has brought us from a long way.  Some of our pasts have not been stellar and we know we have no comprehension of a good reason why God would deliver us from the life we had, to the life we have.

Never Forget

“For the Lord your God dried up the waters of the Jordan for you until you passed over, as the Lord your God did to the Red Sea, which he dried up for us until we passed over,” Joshua 4:23 (ESV)

If we would take the time and pause every now and then we would realize that, The Lord has done many great and wonderful things in our lives.  It is these great and wonderful things that He has done for us that are going to sustain us when trials and tribulations come our way.  It is these great and wonderful things that we should remember when the winds of life are blowing against us.
