Do The Right Thing

“Turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.” Psalm 34:14 (ESV)

If we were really honest with ourselves we would readily confess that there are times when it is easier to do the wrong thing than it is to do the right thing.  There are even times when we have done the wrong things, because it was just easier to do that then it was to put in the effort to do what was right.

Real Strength And Power

“For by you I can run against a troop, and by my God I can leap over a wall.” 2 Samuel 22:30 (ESV)

There are times when we are not going to have the necessary physical strength to make it through some of the challenges that we are faced with.  It is in those times of weakness that we cannot throw in the towel or give up; we must look to The Lord for help and strength.

Equipped For Greatness

“Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, 21 equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. The Words Of Your Mouth

"Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer." Psalm 19:14

In everything that we do we should want to make sure it is pleasing in the sight of The Lord.  There are some things we do which are not pleasing to Him, but that should never stop us from striving to make sure the things we do are always pleasing to The Lord.

God Is On Our Side

"We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9. Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;” 2 Corinthians 4:8-9

On the road of this thing called life there are things that each of us are going to have to go through.  It would be great if every day things went according to plan, but the truth of the matter is that everything is not always going to go according to our plans. There are times when we can plan all we want to plan, and make sure every T is crossed and every I is dotted, and still it doesn't work out the way we think it was going to work out.

Always Thankful

“Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NLT)

It is difficult to find the sunshine in the midst of a soaking rain.  It is difficult to find a reason to smile in the midst of calamity and pain.
