Prepared For Great Things
"Take away the dross from the silver, and the smith has material for a vessel;" Proverbs 25:4
When silver is new it is shiny and looks like glass. It is beautiful and many people wear silver because of its beauty and luster. However, silver has to go through process to have its beauty and shine. Silver has to go through the refining fire so that the silver smith can get out all of the dross or impurities that are found in the silver, and at times this can be a long process, but in the end it is worth it to the smith and to the person who will benefit from the process.
Alone Time With God
"For Moses had said, Consecrate yourselves to day to the LORD, even every man upon his son, and upon his brother; that he may bestow upon you a blessing this day." Exodus 32:29
Each of us want to experience the rich blessings of The Lord in and in for our lives. If we had a choice of being blessed or not we would most certainly chose to be blessed. Being blessed is knowing that God has shined His favor on our lives in a unique way where it can only be God who caused it to happen. There are times in our lives where we can point out the blessings of God operating in our lives.
Blessed To Give
"I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive." Acts 20:35
There is no doubt that The Lord has done some extraordinary things in our lives. He has been by our side walking with us every day of our lives. The Lord has poured more blessings in our lives than we can even begin to count, and if we were truly honest with ourselves many of those blessings we did not even deserve, but He has blessed us any way.
Greater Is Coming
"Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase." Job 8:7
It is important for us to remember it is not where we start that makes the biggest difference, but it is where we end up that counts the most. If we all had a choice to start at the top or at the bottom, many of us would choose to start at the top, because it looks more prestigious, and it just seems to make more sense to start at the top.
