Use The Power Of Your Words
"Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!" James 3:5
There is great power in the words that we use. Those words that we speak each day can either lift someone or break someone down. Our words can encourage or discourage, and the right words from the right person can make us believe we can achieve anything we put our minds and hearts to.
God Hears Your Prayer
"Hear my prayer, O Lord, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner, as all my fathers were." Psalm 39:12
There are times in our lives when we are faced with things that are difficult. There are some things that we go through that will try to literally bring us to our knees and it is when we are down on our knees because of the weight of the things we are facing that we begin to pray. When we pray we have a faith enough to believe that God will answer us. We should not only pray when things are going bad, but also we should talk to God no matter what is going on in our lives.
Pray, Pursue, Recover
"And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all." 1 Samuel 30:8
A young boy came to his father distraught that he could not find his favorite toy car. His father encouraged him to look in all the places he would normally play with his toy car. The young boy looked and looked, but could not find his favorite car. With tears in his eyes he thought that his beloved car was lost forever. He decided he would then go look in one last place, his little sister's room, to see if by chance it was in there, even though he never goes in her room just maybe it could be there.
Call On The Lord
"I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a large place." Psalm 118:5
Have you ever been in trouble and called on friends to help you through a situation? Have you ever called on family members to help you out of something and they were not able to help you? Have you ever felt like you were backed up in corner and didn't know how you were going to make it out?
