Always God

"Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God." Psalm 90:2 (ESV)

There are times in our lives when we are faced with some challenges that we have not had to face before.  In facing these new challenges it can be difficult trying to navigate through them because we just do not know what to do because we have never been this way before.

Use The Power Of Your Words

"Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!" James 3:5

There is great power in the words that we use.  Those words that we speak each day can either lift someone or break someone down.  Our words can encourage or discourage, and the right words from the right person can make us believe we can achieve anything we put our minds and hearts to.

God Hears Your Prayer

"Hear my prayer, O Lord, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner, as all my fathers were." Psalm 39:12

There are times in our lives when we are faced with things that are difficult.  There are some things that we go through that will try to literally bring us to our knees and it is when we are down on our knees because of the weight of the things we are facing that we begin to pray.  When we pray we have a faith enough to believe that God will answer us.  We should not only pray when things are going bad, but also we should talk to God no matter what is going on in our lives.

Pray, Pursue, Recover

"And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all." 1 Samuel 30:8

A young boy came to his father distraught that he could not find his favorite toy car.  His father encouraged him to look in all the places he would normally play with his toy car.  The young boy looked and looked, but could not find his favorite car.  With tears in his eyes he thought that his beloved car was lost forever. He decided he would then go look in one last place, his little sister's room, to see if by chance it was in there, even though he never goes in her room just maybe it could be there.

Strengthened Hands

“For they all wanted to frighten us, thinking, “Their hands will drop from the work, and it will not be done.” But now, O God, strengthen my hands.” Nehemiah 6:9 (ESV)

As we go through life each of us will find ourselves in a situation that causes us to be afraid.  It could be the enormity of the task that frightens us, or it could be the foes that we will have to face that will cause us to fear, but no matter what it is that causes us to fear, we must push pass our fears, and trust God to see us through.

“Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:11 (ESV)

Encouragement is defined as; to make someone more determined, confident or hopeful.  Each of us knows of someone that we can offer encouragement to, because they are going through a rough period in their lives.  There are times when we have to be the ones who will inspire someone to be better than even they can even see.  It becomes essential for a person who may be wavering in their faith, to be able to push them to be the very best they can be.

Covered By Favor

“For you bless the righteous, O Lord; you cover him with favor as with a shield.” Psalm 5:12 (ESV)

It is important as Christians to ensure that our relationship with Christ is in a good place.  To ensure our relationship with Him is in a good place, we must spend time with Him, and we must spend time in His Word, because it is through His Word that we get to know Him more intimately.  We should have a daily pursuit to get to know God better.  When we are constantly pursuing a better relationship with God, we are able to see the blessings on our lives more clearly.
