Light In The Midst Of Darkness
Have you ever had one of those days when it just felt like nothing went right? No matter how hard we tried to make things work out something happened to derail our plans. We can spend an enormous amount of time trying to satisfy some people, but we also must realize that there are some people we will never be able to satisfy no matter what we do. It is in these times we have to know we have done our best and the rest we need to put in God's hands. There are going to be some dark days that come in all of our lives, and in those dark days we need to look to God for our direction.
The Scripture reminds us that, unto the upright there arises light in the darkness: He is gracious and full of compassion, and righteous. I encourage you today to remember that no matter how dark the day or night may become you can always look to God who is light for all of your dark situations. When you are following God and the things He has laid out for your life there are going to be some rough spots while you may not understand where God is taking you, just remember He knows the plans that He has for you. God has a place prepared just for you, where others are not able to go. God is gracious to you, and He is full of compassion for the things you are going through and the things you have been through.
God is also righteous and He expects us to be righteous as well. It is important to continually check your relationship with God, because it is the most important relationship of your life. God is light for you and He will direct you through all the dark paths you may come upon in life’s journey.
I thank God He is light even when things around me are dark, and because He is full of compassion I know without a doubt, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"
Help me to walk upright in you today Lord, and grant me light in the dark places of my life so I may see clearly the path that you have for me. In Jesus Name Amen.
